I suspect fraudulent activity on my account. Can I lock it temporarily?

Yes, you can temporarily lock your account from your Member Area if you think you have been the victim of fraudulent activity or identity theft.

To lock your account, go to your Member Area in the "Security and Confidentiality" section (from the "My profile" tab if you log in from the website).

Locking temporarily your account means blocking your strong authentication, which allows you to make sensitive operations.

💡 If your Member Area does not have the "lock my account" feature, it’s because your account status does not allow it. Please contact Customer Service directly for further information.

Which features will remain available once my account has been locked?

So that you can stay in control of your account, these services remain available:

  • Logging in to your account;
  • Checking your account balance ;
  • Viewing your personal details;
  • Updating your proof of identity;
  • Sponsorship;
  • Activating and deactivating your holding account;
  • Top up by credit card;
  • Changing your personal distribution (credit and debit);
  • Checking your debit card usage;
  • Blocking your debit card;
  • Changing your password;
  • Accessing your security and privacy settings.

Which features will no longer be available once my account has been locked?

The locking procedure means that all future sensitive operations on your account are blocked. It includes:

  • Changing, displaying and unlocking your PIN code;
  • Changing your personal details (mobile, email, postal);;
  • Changing your debit card limits;
  • Activating your debit card;;
  • Requesting and outgoing transfer;
  • Sending assets;
  • Receiving assets;
  • Converting your EUR holding account into metal;
  • Paying with your debit card.

In which cases can my account be temporarily locked?

There are three situations in which your account may be temporarily locked: 

  • A request from you in your Member Area, in the "Security" tab, following suspicion of fraudulent activity;
  • Entering 3 successive false security codes followed by 3 successive false biometric authentications;
  • Our services have identified suspicious activity on your account and have decided to temporarily block it.
