You will be asked to configure 3D Secure (3DS) when you make your first purchase on an e-commerce website which uses that system. Just follow the instructions on your screen.
When making a 3D Secure transaction, you will receive a confirmation code by text message which you will need to enter to finalize your purchase.
In the past, you had to configure your VeraCash card’s 3D Secure set-up. This is no longer the case. Now, each time you make an online 3D Secure transaction, you will be redirected to a secure page where you will need to enter a confirmation code sent to you at the same time by text message to your mobile phone. Once this has been submitted, the payment will be accepted by the e-shop where you are making your purchase.
So, please be sure to communicate your mobile phone number to us. Otherwise, you will have problems with your online transactions.
What do I do if I am unable to make a purchase via 3D Secure (3DS)?
- Make sure you entered the correct confirmation code on the relevant page.
- Make sure you have provided your mobile phone number to our VeraCash platform. You can check this in the “My information” section of your account.
- Make sure the mobile phone number you provided is still current. You can check this in the “My information” section of your account.
After three failed attempts, online payments will be frozen on your VeraCash card. This does not apply to cash withdrawals or in-store purchases. If your online payments have been frozen due to failed 3D Secure attempts, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can unfreeze your card.
